Overview | Approval | Disapproval | Banter | Location Remarks | Romance |
A collection of Astarion's remarks and voicebarks in various locations or plot scenes throughout the game. In some party combinations, a particular party member (including Custom Origin (Tav)) have the priority to voice their line. In these cases, Astarion's line is not used at all, or he utters a responding remark, if there is any.
At some points, the locations remarks are common for all possible party members, including Custom Origin (Tav). These are not included here.
Also, some lines provided for Astarion initially (as well as for other party members) have been cut or rendered inactive during further development.

Overgrown Ruins and the Dank Crypt edit
- (Entering the crypt from the Refectory): "The air's so stale. It feels more like a tomb than a temple."
- (Looked at Jergal's statue in the crypt, check):
- (Successful): "Jergal? This must be ancient - no one worships the Final Scribe anymore."
- (Failed): "Even gods get left to rot in the dark."
- (Saw the skeletons): "Scribes with swords? So much for the quill being mightier."
- (After skeletons have been defeated): “Well that was pathetic. Sorry bones, guarding dusty old trinkets.”
- (Responding remark): "They're unthinking cadavers. I may as well feel sorry for a bread basket."
- (Sneaked past enlivened skeletons): “Who lets their guards' eyes rot away? Honestly, it would've been a crime not to steal that treasure.”
- (Responding remark): “Next time we'll grind their bones to make our bread.”
- (Ran away, escaped from the crypt): “I can't believe we ran from clacking old bones.”
- (Found the Book of Dead Gods): "A chained book? Oh, that's just begging to be read."

- (Trying to press a button that deactivates an avoided-so-far trap): “It won't move. How disappointing.”
Emerald Grove and The Hollow edit
Approaching the Grove:
- (After defeating the raiding pack of goblins): "That was invigorating. There's nothing like a good killing to loosen up the joints."
- (Responding remark 1): “But what were the grubby little beasts after? This place doesn't look like much.”
- (Responding remark 2): “I just wonder if the grubby little beasts had any friends. And if they're nearby.”
Resolving the initial confrontation between Aradin and Zevlor:
- (Aradin was knocked out by Zevlor): “We've only just arrived and they're trying to kill each other. Delicious.”
- (Zevlor was knocked out by Aradin): “A broken tiefling nose. They're as popular here as everywhere else.”
- (Responding remark to any of leaders' punch): “Entertaining as it was, let's not forget why we're here. We need a healer.”
- (Aradin was knocked out by a player character): “Nicely done.”
- (Zevlor was knocked out by a player character): “Well. That's one way to introduce yourself to the locals.”
- (Responding remark to any of player character’s punches): “I won't lie, it felt satisfying. But let's not forget we're here to find a healer.”
- (Respond to a player character's remark on the non-lethal ending of Aradin/Zevlor conflict): “Indeed. Isn't it delightful?”
- (Reaction to Zevlor’s words about more goblins): “So, more goblins could arrive at any moment? Lovely.”
- (Responding remark): “Goblins, tieflings, who cares? All that matters is finding a healer.”
Resolving Sazza's fate:
- (After Sazza told the party about Priestess Gut): “I don't put much faith in goblins, but this priestess could know something?”
- (Responding remark): “We are finding ourselves with some interesting bedfellows...”
- (Helped Sazza escape from the grove): “Horrible little thing. She'd better not forget this.”
- (Responding remark): “I just wish we could've made a deal with a wood nymph or - anything less vile, really.”

- (Responding remark): “The goblin was just put out of our misery, that's all.”
In the Sacred Pool and Inner Sanctum:
- (Trying to recognize the ritual chanted by druids): “Is that a growth spell? I've never heard one like it.”
- (Responding remark): “It's a growth spell. What's the worst it could do?”
- (If Arabella was killed by Teela during the trial): “Another dead refugee. What a sorry bunch of souls.”
- (Responding remark): “Let's get on, before the druids decide we're on their list of enemies, too.”
- (In Halsin’s chamber, saw dead drow): “A dead drow. Quite the decoration.”
- (Responding remark 1): “And a dead tadpole in that brine.”
- (Responding remark 2): “Never mind that - what a statue!”
- (Responding remark 3): “Part library, part morgue. An interesting combination.”
- (Read Halsin’s research on tadpoles): “This 'Halsin' was taking notes on our wriggling friends.”
- (Responding remark): “He sounds like someone worth talking to.”
- (Read Halsin’s research on tadpoles, knows druid’s missing): “If there's a cure, it seems Halsin is the one to talk to.”
- (Responding remark 1): “Then let's find him. Time is short.”
- (Responding remark 2): “Assuming he's still alive.”
- (Responding remark 3): “If he's dead, we'll make his corpse talk.”
- (Opened the druids’ library with the magical circlet): “Now, what have you been hiding?”
- (Saw a magic-imbued glaive in druids’ library, knows the story): “I can feel the grief in the blade. It must be the glaive from the druid's notebook.”
- (Haven’t read about the weapon’s story): “There's a wicked edge to this. I can feel the darkness in the blade.”
Dealing with Nettie:
- (Nettie locked the party up after they refused to take Wyvern Poison): “So this is what honesty gets you? Consider my lesson learned.”
- (Responding remark): “I trust the next time someone asks if we have a mind flayer tadpole in any of our skulls, we'll consider lying?”
- (Feeling sick after Nettie scratched them with a poisonous thorn): “I feel woozy. Whatever that druid scratched me with, it's working.”
- (Sickness getting worse after LR without cure): “I can feel the druid's poison in my veins. She must have had a cure...”
- (Almost dying after second LR without cure): “No. No, it can't end like this!”
- (Cured from Nettie’s poison): “That was uncomfortably close. Imagine, being killed by a dwarf...”
- (Agreed to take Wyvern poison from Nettie): “Pretty bottle, but I wouldn't take wyvern poison, even if we do begin to turn.”
- (Responding remark 1): “If we do start to turn, I'd prefer a method with a little more flair than poison. Is self-immolation totally passé?”
- (Responding remark 2): “If you start to turn, I encourage you to take it. I'm sure it'll be very entertaining for the rest of us.”
- (Responding remark 3): “Hear, hear. If you turn, I'd rather slit that pretty neck of yours myself, anyway.”
In the Secluded Cove:
- (Charmed by a Harpy's song, 1): "No more blood. No more killing. Just this, please."
- (Charmed by a Harpy's song, 2): “Please, I need more.”

Elsewhere in The Hollow:
- (Saw the Strange Ox) "Did that cow just give me the side-eye? Is that... normal?"
- (Watching at the map in Zevlor’s cave): “We're in Elturgard? Ugh. Baldur's Gate is still leagues away.”
- (Responding remark): “Goblin and gnoll markers on the map too. Looks like they're mostly... everywhere.”
- (Near a guarding statue in the Underground Passage): "Glowing eyes are so rarely a good sign. Best tread carefully."
- (Found malnourished Torchstalks behind the Makeshift Prison): "That's an unruly-looking mushroom. Best not get too close."
- (Found dead tiefling children after goblins' attack on the grove): “Well. What's a little more blood on one's hands.”
- (Found the vines all around the grove blocking the entrance): “No one's getting in. Impressive, if a little dramatic.”
- (Found the vines all around the grove, knows about Rite of Thorns): “Well. It seems we're not invited.”
- (Tried to attack the vines): “It's no good - they're impossibly strong.”
The Forest and the Owlbear Nest edit
- (Dealt with Andrik and Brynna, not knowing about the cult of Absolute): “Did you follow a word of that?”
- (Responding remark): “They're devoted to this Absolute. Whatever it is.”
- (Heard about the cult previously from Sazza): “The Absolute? They follow the same god as that wretched goblin, Sazza.”
- (Responding remark): “Seems like a popular little deity, whoever they are.”
- (Saw Edowin’s tadpole exerting from his body): “Slithering away the moment its host is dead. Not that I expected loyalty from a worm.”
- (Responding remark): “Let's forget it for now? The less I think about that thing swimming about in my skull, the happier I'll be.”
- (Found Exsanguinated Boar): “That boar looks riddled with disease. Best keep our distance.”

- (Found a prayer, check):
- (Successful): “Same symbol as the chest. A prayer to open it? I'd prefer a blood offering, but all right…”
- (Failed): “A prayer. Curious symbol next to it… well, saying a few words won't hurt.”
- (Tried to open without disarming magical seal): “Agh! I need a different approach, clearly.”
- (Opened the chest by reading the prayer): “If I knew praying could be useful, I would've started years ago.”
- (Picked up the scroll with the Selûnite Rite): "A Selûnite coming-of-age ritual? Well I guess they have to celebrate something."

- (Found the brothers dead, haven’t met them earlier): “Killed and left for scavengers. What a waste.”

At the Druid Sanctuary/Decrepit Sanctuary:

- (Found slaughtered campsite on the riverbank): "Looks like we missed all the fun."
- ( check successful): “Redcaps, no doubt. Wasteful creatures.”
- (Failed): “Whatever attacked them, you have to admire its gusto.”
In the Riverside Teahouse/Gnarled Teahouse:
- (Near the fireplace in hag’s house, check):

- (Failed): “Cosy. If you're warm-blooded.”
- (Ate a tart in hag’s house (before dispelling the illlusion)): “Hells' teeth! Was solid food always so foul?”
- (Ate a second bite): “Gods. Why? Why would I try it again?”
- (After Ethel hasn’t succeeded to extract the tadpole): “It's not enough to have a worm slither into my eye, it has to be cursed with dark magic too.”
- (Responding remark): “It must be powerful magic to stop the parasite in its tracks. I wonder what else it could do?”
- (Ethel fled from the house after a peaceful encounter): “Gone. Although her stench remains.”
- (Ethel fled from the house escaping a combat): “She's running. Now it's a hunt.”

- (Put on a Whispering Mask and saw through illusion): “The truth is revealed. In all its stinking glory.”
- (Failed a Wisdom save against the mask): “No. Get out. GET OUT!”
- (Freed from Ethel's mask mind control): “She's gone. Thank the Hells.”
- (Other hag’s victims act neutral when wearing a Whispering Mask): “They're not attacking. Fooled by a mask.”
- (Wandered into Ethel’s lair, the hag is not there): “Well this is darling. Very 'Granny's cottage' meets 'rotting troll carcass.'”
- (Responding remark): “Smells like trouble.”

- (Found another set of blueprints on the wall near the smithy): “More blueprints from our local blacksmith.”
- (Responding remark, if already knows about adding Sussur Tree Bark): “The same as before, minus the sussur bark. An early draft, perhaps?”

- (Hasn’t seen blueprints): “That works nicely. Now, what's next...”

In the Whispering Depths:
- (After climbing down the well rope, check):

- (Blowing the horn, if the ogres are too far away to hear it): “The ogres can't hear me and I can't smell them. A fair trade, I'd say.”

- (Responding remark): “Just one more toot. For old times' sake.”
Elsewhere in the village:
- (Found a hopscotch game): “Ah, the faded ghost of fun.”

- (Successful): “Bulette burrows. Best step lightly - there's a land shark about.”
- (Failed): “Must be one hell of a mole.”
- (Felt Bulette burrowing beneath): “What the hells?”
- (Bulette approaching, Nature check):
- (Successful): "Was that a bulette? Best watch my step or I'll be lunch."
- (Failed): "I don't know what that was, and I don't care to."
- (Bulette reappeared after hiding underground): “Hello again, beautiful. Back for more?”
- (Approaching the Sussur Tree): "I don't trust this tree. It feels wrong."
- (Feeling Sussur Tree impact): "I feel cold. Empty. What are these flowers doing to me?"
- (Found Myrna's dog collar after digging out the grave at X: -41 Y: -212): “What's this? A collar covered in runes...”
- (Responding remark, read Letter from Amarith): “All that remains of Lenore's beloved pet, it seems.”
- (Responding remark, hasn’t read the letter): “It must do something. Damned if I know what, though.”
In the Arcane Tower:
- (Approaching the entrance, saw scorched ground from Arcane Turrets): “The earth's been charred. Ominous.”
- (Read any poem book in the tower): “I'm not normally one for literature, but there's something there.”
- (Felt Weave emanations from the Chest of the Mundane, check):
- (Successful): “That chest's magic. Its energy has me all atingle.”
- (Failed): “I can feel the tingle of magic. Something close by...”
- (Put an item IN the chest): “It's transformed! A clever little trick.”
- (Took an item OUT of the chest): “It's transformed? What's this trickery?”
- (Interact with lights without activating Power generator): “A light without a wick? How are you meant to use the damn thing?”
- (Activated Power generator): “Ah, magical light. A cute little trick.”
- (Blocked lift in the Arcane tower, check):
- (Successful): “Why is it broken? You're powered by magic, for goodness sake!”
- (Failed): “It doesn't look broken. Then again, none of us do.”
- (Try to trigger it second time): “Still useless, I see.”
- (Pressed the strange button in Lenore’s bedroom, doesn’t have the collar): “Strangely low for a button. Strangely useless too.”
- (Pressed the button, has Myrna's collar in inventory): “Hullo - whatever you did, it made the collar in my pack vibrate.”
- (Pressed the button, a party member wears the collar): “Ah! Whatever you did, it made my neckpiece vibrate.”

- (Put on the ring obtained from Bernard): “A secret button? It seems this ring is more than just a fashion piece.”
- (Sat down on the Stool of Hill Giant Strength): "Well now, what's this? I feel powerful."
- (Got up from it): "Damn it, it's gone…"

Collecting the lore on the Adamantine Forge:
- (First learned about the forge): “An adamantine forge? Sounds like the perfect place to find something expensive.”
- (Looted disguised book from Xargrim, Arcana check):
- (Successful): “There's a spell disguising this book. You're not really... 'Flumph Mating Rituals', are you?”
- (Failed): “'Flumph Mating Rituals'?[2] Interesting choice, but who am I to judge?”
- (If already interrogated Xargrim's corpse): “Here's the book he mentioned. Disguised by magic as... 'Flumph Mating Rituals'? Hells...”
- (The book transformed, the party knew it was disguised): “Ah, the book on flumphs has dropped its disguise.”
- (The party didn’t know): “That book on flumphs - it's changing. What were you hiding, you sneaky little wizard?”
- (Looted Filro’s records, not knowing about the forge): “Rambling garbage. Typical.”
- (Deciphered the record scroll): “The forge has a guardian undone by heat and hammer. Sounds simple...”
- (If learned about the forge first from Filro): “A hidden adamantine forge? Imagine the blades you could produce with that.”
- (Responding remark, successfully deciphered drow’s records): “There is a guardian to take care of, of course. But all we need is a... 'hot hammer'?”
- (Failed to decipher the record scroll): “I would've appreciated more details, personally. The rest of the note reads like gibberish.”
- (Second mention of the forge): “Seems like a popular spot, this forge. Everyone's looking for it.”
- (The party knows about it from Filro’s corpse): “Seems the mad drow wasn't the only one searching for this forge.”
- (The party knows about it from Filro’s notes): “The same forge from the wizard's notes? The notes that mentioned a guardian?”
- (The party knows about it from Dhourn/Dhourn’s corpse): “Our wizard friend Dhourn was looking for this forge too. A popular spot.”
- (The party knows about it from Dhourn’s Memory Shard): “This is the same forge the memory shard showed us, surely?”
- (The party knows about it from Xargrim’s corpse): “hat's the same forge the drow's corpse mentioned, surely?”
- (The party knows about it from Xargrim’s disguised book): “That enchanted journal mentioned an adamantine forge too. Seems popular.”
- (The party knows about it from Skarjall): “The same adamantine forge the duergar were harping on about? Interesting.”
- (Third mention of the forge): “The forge again? Hells, we know everything bar how it smells.”
Dealing with Mushroom Circles in the Underdark and beyond:

- (Found illusory wall on the top of the crag): “A fake wall. Hopefully hiding real secrets.”
- (Approaching a mushroom ring, knows its purpose): “No glow? How dull.”
- (Not knowing the purpose): “That's not normal, is it? A perfect ring of mushrooms.”
- (Entered a mushroom ring, knows its purpose): “Nothing? How disappointing.”
- (Not knowing the purpose): “Well, it's certainly... symmetrical?”
- (Activated the mushroom ring): “Well. That's different, at least.”

- (Teleported from the Overgrown Tunnel into the Underdark, has been to Underdark): “And we're back. A fungal shortcut.”
- (Teleported from the Putrid Bog into Overgrown Tunnel, Ethel is dead): “The lazy old crone built herself a shortcut.”
- (Teleported from the Putrid Bog into Overgrown Tunnel, Ethel survived): “Our hag's lair. Charming.”
- (Teleported from the Underdark to the Putrid Bog): “The hells? Why would it take us here of all places?”
- (Teleported from the Underdark to the Sunlit Wetlands (Ethel’s illusion is still intact)): “The hells? What's so important about these wetlands that it would lead here?”
Elsewhere in the Underdark:
- (Entering Zhentarim storehouse from the Underdark): "The Black Network's mark. Spies, murderers, and thieves ahead, I guess."
- (Entering the storehouse, descending from Zhentarim Hideout) "Glowing rocks? Mushrooms? This is no simple storage room."

- (In the Ceremonial room, removed the weapon from the altar): “Ah, it's lost its glow. That's... unfortunate? I think?”

- (Heard Gremishka meowlings): “What is that wailing? A child?”
- (Recognized Gremishkas, check successful): “Gremishkas? Those little pussy cats are allergic to magic - better watch my spells.”
- (Used magic close to a Gremishka): “Perhaps we're better off without magic this time?”
- (Entered a combat with drunk Kobolds): “This place reeks of alcohol - best watch my fire. Or not...”
- (Pass by an inactive Lathander's Lance on the roof, knows where the crèche is): “What a majestic weapon. Even the gith would cower at you.”
- (Doesn’t know the crèche location): “Well look at you. I bet you were a powerful weapon in your day.”
- (Found a githyanki skeleton at X: 45 Y: 19, has been to the crèche): “Nothing left of the original raiding party but bones. Shame.”

- (Interacted with the deactivated barrier): “Looks like the barrier's already down. How lovely.”
- (Walking the bridge that leads to Inquisitor’s Chamber): “Just when you think a place can't get any more ominous. Charming.”
- (Responding remark): “It's unnerving. This place makes my skin crawl.”

- (Read the note in the Dawnmaster’s secret stash): “The 'Blood of Lathander'? They probably don't mean it literally, unfortunately.”
- (Picked up the fake Blood of Lathander): “This is an ancient holy relic? It doesn't feel that ancient. Or holy.”
- (Noticed the statues in Inquisitor’s Chamber, check successful): “Scuff marks on the floor. Are these statues more mobile than they look?”
- (If the party has read Old Maintenance Records at X: 102 Y: 26): “Statues to Lathander, just as the book said. Although it also said they moved.”
- (Failed to rotate the statue in Inquisitor’s Chamber): “Bloody thing - it's jammed shut.”

- (Solved the statue puzzle in Inquisitor’s Chamber): “Well well, look what you've been hiding.”
- (Upon entering the Dawnbreak Gate): “Incredible - completely untouched. It looks frozen in time.”
- (Took the Blood of Lathander, using Dawnmaster's Crest): “I understand the need for security, but really. That seemed excessive.”
- (Responding remark 1): “The better the protection, the better the prize. The monks must have treasured this.”
- (Responding remark 2): “Hardly surprising - it looks powerful.”
- (Managed to stop the armed Lance): “That was altogether too close.”
- (Responding remark 1): “That would have taken out the monastery, the crèche, and most definitely us.”
- (Responding remark 2): “We'll be more cautious in future. Probably. Maybe...”
- (Managed to stop the armed Lance, answering to Lae'zel): “We may have caused all that, but we also stopped it. You're welcome.”
- (Near the armed Lance on the roof): “That machine's ready to blow - let's not hang about.”
- (Took the Blood of Lathander and got trapped): “Well don't just stand there gawping - get me out of here!”
- (Responding remark, a player character is trapped (not him)): “Don't worry your pretty little head, I'm sure there's a way out of this.”
- (Responding remark, a party member is trapped (not him)): “I'll get them free - you find a way out of here!”
- (Took the mace after destroying the barrier’s source): “Hells, it's all coming down!”
- (Responding remark): “Run, before it buries us here!”
- (Got through the portal on the roof): “This is better, but I'm still getting the hells out of here.”
- (Ran to the right roof): “There's no time - I need to get off this damned roof!”
- (Ran to the left balcony): “Almost clear - just a little further.”
- (Jumped to the left roof 1): “There's not much time - I have to get out of here now.”
- (Jumped to the left roof 2): “Enough gallivanting - I need to get down from here!”
- (Destroyed the crèche with the Lance): “It's gone - the entire place is just... gone.”
- (Responding remark): “Well, you don't see power like that every day.”
In the Astral Plane:
- (A player character returned from the Beckoning Cave): “Well - did you kill it? And what was it, anyway?”
- (In the morning, after he drained another player character to death): "Oh, no. Something terrible's happened."

- (Looking for Oliver in hide-and-seek game, check):
- (Successful): “There you are! Come out, little one.”
- (Failed): “Where is that spooky little brat?”
- (Met Rolan near the bridge to Reithwin Town): “Rolan? I knew the tiefling was a fool, but this?”

- (A torch snuffed out in deeper curse, 1): “The torch is gone again. This curse just will not let up.”
- (Remark 2): “Stay lit, you useless stick!”

- (Responding remark): “And she has such a way with words.”
- (Set Dolly free but angered her): “That was an actual pixie! An adorable, furious pixie.”

- (Responding remark, defeated the drider 1): “I hope the wretched beast is rotting out there.”
- (Responding remark, defeated the drider 2): “At least they won't be returning. Wretched bloody creatures.”
- (Responding remark, haven’t defeated the drider 1): “Plenty of chains, cages, and the usual slaver favourites.”

- (Responding remark): “They were clearly artists. You can tell because it's a mess in here.”
- (Found a map of Moonrise Towers in the Mason's Guild cellar): "Interesting map. Especially that nice, big X at the base of Moonrise Towers."
- (Reading the plaques on the statue at the town square): ”Well that does... something. Not that the gibberish scrawled on it is any help.”

- (In the Morgue lab, read the list of “donors”): “Quite the list of characters, but hardly my taste.”
- (Looking at the army camp from the cemetery cliff, knowing about the Absolute): “Demon's teeth, look at those fires. The Absolute's own personal horde - best steer clear.”
- (Not knowing about the Absolute): “Look at all those fires - it's a horde of beasts and brutes. Let's not get too close.”
In The Waning Moon:
- (Upon entering The Waning Moon): “A distillery. Not my preferred tipple, honestly.”
- (Responding remark): “I'm sure a place like this has spirits aplenty.”
- (Read the poster in front of the brewery): “'Missing: Rascal - brown puppy. Jagoda - black and white cat...' are people really so careless with their pets?”
- (Already noticed the collars ner Tollhouse): “Missing - 'Jagoda', 'Rascal' - oh dear. Those bloodied collars make a lot more sense now...”

- (After defeating gith hunters, Lae’zel spurned Vlaakith): “Seems Voss was right - the psionic detector worked a treat.”
- (Defeated gith hunters, Lae’zel rejected Voss): “Githyanki hunters - was that what the gith trinket was warning us about?”

- (Interacting with signs on old graves near the mausoleum, check):

Near Isobel's sarcophagus:
- (Found the tomb open, before reading the plaque): “An open, empty tomb - seems someone went for a stroll.”
- (Haven’t met Isobel yet): “Isobel? Ketheric's daughter, no doubt. Let's hope the apple fell far from the twisted, cursed tree.”
- (Met Isobel, does not know her parentage): “Isobel? As in 'the cleric from Last Light' Isobel?”
- (Responding remark): “If she's Isobel Thorm - Ketheric is her father? Is that even possible?”
- (Knowing both): “So this is where Isobel was resting before Daddy Ketheric brought her back.”
- (Triggered a disarmed trap around Isobel’s tomb): “Shi- oh. Nothing? Either the trap's broken or someone's already disarmed it.”

- (Spotted the transporting disc to the temple): “That disc looks like it could take us somewhere. But where?”
- (Responding remark): “But where will it take us?”
- (First time entering the temple, check):
- (Successful): “Dedicated to the goddess Shar. Which probably isn't good news.”
- (Failed): “Well. This looks cosy...”

- (Heard Shar speaking again, elsewhere in the temple): “That voice, it's - Shar? It can't be...”
- (Trying to open a magically-sealed door): “A magic lock - no amount of picking will pop that.”
- (Pushed off by force field around the statue): “What in the wretched hells was that?”
- (Saw any of the glowing rings around the statue): “Gods, not again. I can't get near that gem if I can't see the ring.”
- (Pushed off by force field of the outer ring): “Well that didn't work. There must be a way around it...”

- (Looking at orthon’s bed): “Points for style, but certainly not for comfort.”
- (Killed orthon, knows Raphael’s demand): “There, it's dead. Now Raphael had better deliver on his promise.”

- (Trying to activate the altar, not having a single Umbral Gem in inventory): “ Alas, I've nothing to fill it with.”
- (Spotted the first Umbral Gem, not knowing its purpose): “Well that's a pretty rock. Presumably it does something more than sparkle, though.”
- (Knowing its purpose): “Is that a gem for the altar? Or just a pretty rock?”
- (Found another Gem, not knowing its purpose): “Another gem. They must be good for something, surely.”
- (Knowing its purpose): “Another of the altar's gems. I wonder how much they're worth...”
- (In the Silent Library, pressed the correct button): “And it's easy as that.”
- (Picked up the Spear of Night, not knowing its purpose): “Oh, this is beautiful. A fine weapon.”

- (Freed Nightsong, Shadowheart is not in party/is an avatar): “She does seem like a powerful ally. I just hope she's powerful enough.”
- (Responding remark to any of three options): “With her free, Ketheric is exposed. We only have to strike.”
- (Surrendered Nightsong to Balthazar (any of three options)): “Well, she's Ketheric's now. Her fate's in his hands.”

- (Responding remark 3): “Assuming we can find it. Anything that powerful will be protected.”
- (Found Balthazar’s book in his secret room, seq 3): “So, the Nightsong is key to Ketheric's power. If we can find it, perhaps we can use it against him.”

- (Responding remark): “Just when I think the worst is behind us, you manage to drop us in some new turd.”
- (Entered the Oubliette for the first time): “I'm all for blood, but a whole lake? That's just wasteful.”
- (Returned to the Oubliette): “I bet it's cold too. Such a pity.”

Mind Flayer Colony edit

- (Respond to Jaheira’s recalling previous experience): “I think we have more pressing concerns than a trip down memory lane.”
- (Looking at neutral Intellect Devourers): “The little brains aren't attacking. They must think we're all on the same side.”
- (Approaching Mizora’s pod): “Tadpoling a cambion... Better the devil you know, I suppose.”

- (Caught the last tadpole): “As tadpoles go, this is quite the specimen.”
In the Necrotic Laboratory and Morgue:
- (Near the ritual circle, check):

- (Solved the mind puzzle): “This better be worth it - I can't stand puzzles.”
- (Reading illithid manuscripts, check):

- (Dynaheir’s mask): “A wooden mask. Not bad, but it's seen better days.”
- (Jan’s turnip): “It's - it's a turnip. Just a turnip, for all to see.”
- (Keldorn’s fist): “A mailed fist, for all your punching needs.”
- (Mazzy’s hammer): “Ah, a war hammer. A beautifully messy weapon.”[13]
- (In the Undercity Ruins, found Sarin’s skull): “What in the Hells is that skull doing?”
At the Heapside beach:
- (During the Sahuagin attack, if saw them for the first time): “Hells, just when I think we've seen the ugliest things yet.”
- (If seen them before): “More of those bloody fish? Gods, it never ends...”
- (After Sahuagin defeated, check):
- (Successful): “That's the stench of a sea devil, all right. Rare to see them here, though.”
- (Failed): “Well that was foul, all the way from its wretched tip to its vile tail.”
- (Seen them before): “Another of those stinking creatures? Why in the hells are they attacking here?”
Flymm Cargo, the Iron Throne and the Steel Watch Foundry edit
- (At Flymm Cargo, saw the oil leak nearby, check): “That's no bloodstain - it's oil. Something's sprung a leak.”
- (In the Iron Throne, doors stuck 1): “There must be some mechanism to open it...”
- (Doors stuck 2): “No, it's still closed. And still no obvious way to open it.”
- (Doors stuck 3): “It's stuck fast. No amount of brute force is opening that.”
- (Found Ulder Ravengard, Wyll broke the pact): “Duke Ravengard's alive? If barely.”
- (Found Ravengard, Wyll stayed in the pact): “Duke Ravengard? Well, this is a surprise.”
- (Trying to use the Submersible after returning from the Iron Throne): “It's given up the ghost. It won't go anywhere like this.”
- (In the Steel Watch Foundry, deactivated first Motivator): “And it's off! That was more stressful than I'd like.”
- (Deactivated second motivator): “Another one safe. This could be going a whole lot worse..”
- (Deactivated third motivator): “And that's all of them! I was never worried.”
- (Found headless corpse in the Foundry lab): “A brainless zombie? I mean, more brainless than usual.”
- (Found a headless zombie inside a Watcher): “Why would you use a headless zombie to pilot a watcher? Not even a whole zombie?!”
- (Read Toobin’s book (only)): “Wait, 'Gond' isn't his true name? Gods can't make anything easy, can they?”
- (Read Gond’s lore book): “So to the gnomes, his true name is 'Nebelun'? I would've stuck with 'Gond', personally.”
- (Read both books): “Well the gnomes call him Nebelun - that's his 'true name', surely?”
Elsewhere in the Lower City edit
- (In Bloomridge Park, noticed the Bhaalist ambush): “Someone's skulking in the bushes. So rarely a good sign.”
- (At Crimson Draughts, drank Araj Oblodra’s potion): “My blood is... explosive?! This could make feeding complicated...”
- (In the Elerrathin's Home basement): “'This is a 'Ritual of the Timeless Body'? Jaheira, have you been playing with immortality?”
- (At Flymm's Cobblers, saw Gortash’s portrait, knows his parentage): “A picture of Gortash. They must be very proud of their boy.”
- (Not knowing his parentage): “Is that Gortash? Gods, he just gets everywhere, doesn't he?”
- (In the Lodge, saw the massacre unleashed by Ptaris): “Everyone is dead! What an appalling waste.”
- (At the Murder Tribunal, became an Unholy Assassin): “'Unholy Assassin'... Yes, I do rather like the sound of that.”
- (Approaching Baldur’s Gate (way to the Upper City), react to the player feeling Netherbrain close): “Argh - is that the brain? It feels like it's crushing my skull...”
- (Trying to proceed after the Emperor’s warning): “Maybe we should turn back. The Emperor warned us going beyond the gate would be a little... deathy.”
- (In the Water Queen's House cellar, noticed the cracked wall): “There's a fault in that wall. With enough force, we could get through.”
Going along Find Dribbles the Clown quest edit
- Looking at Orin’s corpse installations:
- (Penela Lumpensicks as Illasera): “Well, someone fancies themselves an artist.”
- (Courageous Little Kimmabeth as Yaga-Shura): “Gods, what a mess.”
- (Danfora of the Kingfish as Sendai): “Dead drow, dead spiders - I can't imagine Lolth would approve.”
- (Winslow Reginol as Abazigal): “Someone's sending a message. And I'm not sure I care for it.”
- (Gohumberry Tresp as Balthazar): “It was a clean decapitation - I'll give them that.”
- (Wilting Alex as Amelyssan)[14]: “A grisly corpse and the Lord of Murder. The perfect match, really.”
Bhaal Temple edit
- (Encountering the Farslayer): “Focus, darling. The red ghost there's got 'Bhaal's favourite' written all over him.”
- (After Farslayer started casting): “Not to spoil the fun, but that's some powerful magic. One hit, and you're done for.”
- (Defeated Farslayer): “Poofing off, just like that? Hmph.”
- (Entered Orin’s room): “Well, this is nice. A little much, maybe, but I see what she was going for.”
- (Found the Dark Urge’s corpse (for no DU in the party)): “Orin took her time with this one. She made sure they suffered.”
- (Mourning over killed companion): “Gods damn it. I can't help but feel we're at least partly to blame.”
Inactive/Cut Location Remarks edit
On the Ravaged Beach:
- (Saw dead fishers near dead Intellect Devourers): “A waste of perfectly good blood.”
- (Responding remark): “A waste of... you have interesting priorities.”
In the Underdark:
- (Looking at cave paintings, History check):
- (Successful): “Lolth leading her drow into the Underdark. This must be ancient.”
- (Failed): “Please. I prefer my art to be a little less... shit.” - Couldn't find the place, probably another cut-out upon release
In the Mind Flayer Colony:
- (Trying to use Regeneration pod, never used it before ? check failed): “It needs to be powered. However you do that...”
- (Trying to use Regeneration pod, never used it before ? check successful): “Looks like it pulls power from whoever's in the cradle. Now we just need a victim - eh - volunteer.”
- (Trying to use Regeneration pod, used it before): “It pulls life from one and gives it to another. How relatable.”
- (Regeneration pod being used on non-living creature): “Nothing. Is there a problem with the power source?”
- (When lying on the bed near the regeneration pod being used): “Ow! That... took something. And it hurt."
In the Lower City
- (Turned statue head in Ettvard's office, successful): “Well that did something up there.”
- (Hit by a flying chair from a ghost): “Hey - no! You do not throw furniture at your guests.”
