Spectator
Spectators are a non-playable race and Aberration creature in Baldur's Gate 3. They have four eyestalks that can each cast debilitating rays. The Spectator's multiple eyestalks allow it to cast multiple rays per turn.
About
Spectators are a lesser type of Beholder. They are floating creatures with a single huge eye and four eyestalks from which they may cast damaging or debilitating ray attacks.

Attacks and abilities
Spectators use a special kind of resource for their actions called
Eyestalk Action and can perform two Eyestalk Actions per turn.Honour mode
In Patch #7, the spectator gained a Legendary Action. When struck, the Spectator will accumulate stacks of . When it reaches 5 stacks, it will use its reaction to cast . The Legendary Action can be avoided by removing stacks of Paranoid Dreams, either by waiting for it to cast a ray attack or by intentionally moving close to the Spectator to trigger . Any ray attack reduces Paranoid Dreams counter by 1.

- Burnished Ring - dropped by one of the Spectators located in Hope's Prison in the House of Hope.
- The Spectator Eyes - dropped by the Spectator located in the Underdark.
Notes
- Spectators are immune to , because they are an airborne creature, similar to Djinni.
- Spectators may target characters protected by with their ray attacks, contrary to the description of Sanctuary.
- A Spectator contained within the Iron Flask may be used to acquire the Silver Sword of the Astral Plane at the Mountain Pass in Act One by use of this guide.
