Dwarves are a playable race in Baldur's Gate 3.

Racial features

• Base Racial Speed: 7.5 m / 25 ft
•  Dwarven Combat Training: You gain Proficiency in the following:
  •  Battleaxes,  Handaxes,  Light Hammers,  Warhammers
•  Darkvision
•  Dwarven Resilience: You have Advantage on Saving throws against Poison, and have resistance to Poison damage.

Gold dwarves

Subrace features

•  Dwarven Toughness: Your Hit Point maximum increases by 1, and increases by 1 again every time you gain a level.

Shield dwarves

Duergar

Default Duergar appearance

Subrace features

•  Superior Darkvision: You can see in the dark up to 24 m / 80 ft.
•  Duergar Resilience: You have Advantage on Saving throws against illusions, as well as against being Charmed or Paralysed.
• Gain the following Spells:
  • 1st Level Spell:  Enlarge (at character level 3; Recharge: Long rest)
    • As of Patch 3, the Duergar version of Enlarge notably does not require  Concentration.
  • 2nd Level Spell:  Invisibility (at character level 5; per battle, does not use Spell Slots)

NPC features

While player characters do not, NPC duergar characters will have the following passive feature in addition to the above:
