Shield Blow

Shield Blow is a reaction granted by many Shields that allows the wearer to strike back with the shield when hit by a melee attack, possibly knocking the attacker Prone Prone.

Description

When a foe hits you with a melee attack, you can use your reaction to knock it Prone Prone, unless they succeed a Strength saving throw.

How to learn

Notes

  • As the saving throw to apply Prone Prone use the wielder's spell save DC, Shield Bash is more effective on casters than it is on martial characters.

Bugs

  • The in-game description of this ability states it requires a Dexterity saving throw, but it actually is a Strength saving throw.
