Minthara/Location Remarks

From bg3.wiki
Jump to navigation Jump to search

A collection of Minthara Minthara's remarks and voicebarks in various locations or plot scenes throughout the game. In some party combinations, a particular party member (including Custom Origin (Tav)) have the priority to voice their line. In these cases, Minthara's line is not used at all, or she utters a responding remark, if there is any.

Also, some lines provided for Minthara initially (as well as for other party members) have been cut or rendered inactive during further development.

Since Minthara may become a fully-featured party companion only after events in the middle of the Act Two, there are no such remarks for her within most locations or scenes of Act One.

  • (Found a headless zombie inside a Watcher): “A headless zombie crammed into the Watcher. This is beyond me.”
  • (Read Toobin’s book (only)): “The true name of Gond... perhaps one of the Gondians will utter it in prayer if we ask politely.”
    • (Read Gond’s lore book): “The gnomes know Gond by his true name, Nebelun, it seems. I like it.”
    • (Read both books): “Gond's true name is Nebelun. Whatever he goes by, he's nothing more than a glorified cobbler.”

Elsewhere in the Lower City[edit | edit source]

  • (In Bloomridge Park, noticed the Bhaalist ambush): “Rustling in the foliage. Either amorous citizens, or a poorly-laid ambush.”
  • (In the Elerrathin's Home basement): “'Rite of the Timeless Body'. Jaheira's best days are behind her - perhaps she intends to extend those that remain.”
  • (At Flymm's Cobblers, saw Gortash’s portrait, knows his parentage): “Gortash's parents give his portrait pride of place, but he allows them to live in squalor. A curious family.”
    • (Not knowing his parentage): “A portrait of Gortash. His smile looks more genuine rendered in paint than it does in the flesh.”
  • (In the Lodge, saw the massacre unleashed by Ptaris): “Bah! Ruthless slaughter, neither efficient nor artful.”
  • (At the Murder Tribunal, became an Unholy Assassin): “Unholy Assassin. It suits me.”
  • (In the Stormshore Tabernacle, saw depictions of gods): “Ah, there's a shrine to Lolth in the corner there. Excuse me while I spit on it.”
  • (Approaching Baldur’s Gate (way to the Upper City), react to the player feeling Netherbrain close): “Straj. Psionic pressure, even more excruciating than I suffered at Moonrise. It will destroy our minds.”
    • (Trying to proceed after the Emperor’s warning): “I am loathe to turn tail when our enemy is close, but perhaps we should heed the Emperor's warning.”
  • (In the Water Queen's House cellar, noticed the cracked wall): “This wall is fragile. Just be sure the waveservants don't see us cracking their temple apart.”

Bhaal Temple[edit | edit source]

  • (Encountering the Farslayer): “Bhaal's rage lives in the undead one. Slaughter him, and the others will scatter.”
    • (After Farslayer started casting): “Focus your blows! That spell could kill any one of us in a single strike.”
    • (Defeated Farslayer): “As I expected. They were empty vessels, animated by Bhaal's bloodthirst.”
  • (As Orin’s victim, rescued stealthily before the fight): “Orin... I will dissect her for laying her blade on me again.”
    • (Rescued after the fight): “Orin... where is she? Not dead by another's hand, I hope.”
  • (Entered Orin’s room): “Orin's nest. What horrors hide here?”
  • (Found the Dark Urge’s corpse (for no DU in the party)): “Mutilated. Whoever they were, Orin enjoyed their suffering.”
  • (Mourning over killed companion): “Orin ruined their flesh, Bhaal devoured their soul. Nothing remains. They are gone for good.”

Notes[edit | edit source]

  1. Tara becomes a camp follower only if Gale is played as an origin
  2. The History check here is rolled only once by every party member, on any single mural; if any of them succeeded, it impacts all three murals. It is also common with the History check on speaking to the statue of Balduran near the entrance.
