Crimson is a beast NPC found in Act Three. Crimson is kept in a cage at the Circus of the Last Days, in Rivington.

The HUNGER. My stomach SCREAMS. Press your FLESH through BARS. A hand. A HEAD. BLOOD. Meat.

Involvement edit

When spoken to, Crimson is rabid and raving with bloodlust.

If using Speak with Animals Speak with Animals, the party can immediately discern his bloodlust is due to being starved for food. If Crimson is interacted with without Speak with Animals, the interacting party member must be a Ranger or Druid and pass an Animal Handling check:

Following this, the character can then calm Crimson with a gift of meat, earning the Primary Needs Primary Needs for Outlander backgrounds. Any kind of meat will suffice; some can be found in the Temple Kitchen in the Open Hand Temple.

Crimson is released from his cage and attacks the party during the fight with Dribbles Dribbles the Clown. If fed beforehand, he is too busy eating and does not participate in the fight. Afterwards, Crimson thanks the party, explaining that the Doppelgangers starved him and then provoked him with bloody rags, whereas the true circus employees always treated him like family.

He considers himself friends with Shadow-Whiskers Shadow-Whiskers, in the cage next to him, and sympathizes with her pain.

If attacking the animal handlers before approaching Dribbles, they unlock the cages but Crimson and Shadow-Whiskers continue to be neutral entities.
