This article is about the monk reaction to reduce the damage of a missile attack. For the follow up reaction to throw back the projectile, see Deflect Missiles: Redirect.

Description
Reduce the damage from a ranged weapon attack by 1d10 + your Dexterity modifier + your monk level.
If the damage is reduced to 0, you can use a Ki Point to .You can only reduce damage from the attack - any additional effects can't be negated.

Notes
- Reducing damage does not negate any other effects of the attack. Conditions such as from are still applied, even if the damage is reduced to 0.
- This reaction works against any attack that uses a ranged weapon attack roll.
Bugs
- Against ranged attacks that fire multiple projectiles, such as Hand Crossbows, only the last attack can be deflected to reduce its damage. None of the projectiles can be thrown back with . or dual wielded
