The party first finds him battling [[Black Gauntlet of Bane]]s in the main floor of the foundry. Around his neck is a {{RarityItem|Kill Collar}}, which must be disabled by activating a {{RarityItem|Motivator}} held by one of the Black Gauntlets.

If the party manages to save him as part of the quest [[Save the Gondians]], he will run out of the lab and gather with the rest of the Gondians outside of the foundry.
