Incorrect information[edit source]

In the note is written : "Unlike other maps, there is no marker placed on the player's map indicating where the chest is."

A marker is, however, indeed added to the player's map after reading this map at X: -98 Y: -201.

So, if I'm not mistaken, the information: "The map to the buried treasure is a letter leading to a buried chest near Vonayn's house, at X:88 Y:-140." is wrong.

The map markers lead to the small plot of land south of "The Counting House" adjoining the docks. You simply pass through the dock security checkpoint to access it (at least 2 Steel Guards and 3 guards must be passed one way or another). The pile of earth you are digging in does not need to be detected even if a die roll is made while digging; it is visible and directly usable. The wooden chest thus unearthed is trapped and defusable (difficulty 10) and contains 259 gp.

That said, I wonder what clues there are that point to the existence of the buried chest in front of Vonayn's house, at X:88 Y:-140... Pallando (talk) 06:54, 18 April 2025 (CEST)Reply

Thank you for checking it. The initial information when I rewrote the article from tip to toe was indeed about the chest behind the counting house (which had been my own walkthrough experience). I actually did not notice when it was (mis)corrected to Vonayn. You are free to place the correct info in its place if you wish, or take the passage from the page history. I hadn't thought to check the page history, thanks for reminding me.
So would I correctly deduce that you previously had an account named "Contra"?
But what do you mean by "take the passage from the page history." ? Just read it ? (done)
It appears that the acient user "Da Kaleidoscope" has erased your good information to replace it by his wrong information... Without verification or talk... Sad... Pallando (talk) 17:59, 18 April 2025 (CEST)Reply
No, you deduced wrong, but due to my own mistake. I actually worked on the general article about the Docks and placed the same info there, simply inserting the link to this page. Later 'Da Kaleidoscope' guy replaced it in both articles. Such corrections come along quite often, people adjust a couple of phrases here and there and then disappear for good, while other people wonder afterwards, like "who in the hells wrote this garbage". And those former are not bots ((
As for working with history, you can look into any implied corrections by "prev" link, and see there what corrections were made without undoing anything that was put in later. Arikel (talk) 18:31, 18 April 2025 (CEST)Reply
