If you are a paladin and you succeed in 1. investigating cause and then 2. persuausion "you know you're not a god" - something to that effect there is a final check you can do that is paladin specific that will result on fighting booal but all of the fishfolk are on your side

Dark Urge Scenario[edit source]

Spoiler alert for first-time dark urge players.

I am playing a dark urge character and have a skilled thief in the party (Astarion). The way I obtained the blessing for the whole party is as follows:

- walk closer to trigger the scene with my dark urge character
- switch character to the thief
 - walk outside visibility
 - use a scroll of invisibility on self
 - sneak to pickpocket the sickle
- switch back to dark urge character
 - select options:
  - 'BOOOAL'? Bhaal is the god of murder.
  - Fool. I kill in my sleep. If you seek death, death itself is here.

Since the last option references earlier events, I can only assume these events had to take place first. See https://bg3.wiki/wiki/Alfira for details.

Note (1): The narrator concludes with: "Mad guilt swills in your swooning, sick body. Today you became the tart of a false God, and your evil pride revolts." Not sure what the implications are of this, because I am reporting as I am having the experience in game.

Note (2): Skipping the thieving bit means the player character receives just the sickle. So the dark urge has a check-free path to a fully pacifistic solution. Odd when framed like that. :D
