Protection from Poison

Protection from Poison is a level 2 abjuration spell. It allows spellcasters to grant the creature they touch protection from Poison and poisonous effects.

Description

Touch a creature to neutralise all poisons affecting it, and grant it protection against poisonous influences.

Grants Advantage on Saving throws against being  Poisoned, and Resistance to Poison damage.

At higher levels

Casting this spell at a higher level grants no additional benefit.

• All previous Poisonous effects afflicting the target are neutralized
• Target gains Advantage on Saving throws against being Poisoned
• Target gains Resistance to Poison damage

How to learn

Classes:

• Class level 3: Cleric, and Druid
• Class level 5: Paladin, and Ranger

Notes

• If cast by a Cleric, Druid, or Paladin, this spell must remain Prepared; removing Protection from Poison from the caster's Prepared Spells list removes the buff from all party members whom the caster applied it to.
• In addition to  Poisoned, this spell also grants Advantage on Saving throws against  Cloudkill,  Nauseous, Poisonous Slime Bomb, and poison coatings (but not toxins).
