Oath of the Crown is an upcoming subclass of Paladin. It is planned to be released as part of Patch 8 in 2025. [url 1]
Subclass features[edit | edit source]

This subclass obtains all the features from its base class, Paladin, in addition to its unique features outlined below.
Level 1
A paladin must follow their sworn oaths or lose their divine power. For more details, see Oaths and Oathbreaking.

- Target yourself or an ally to additionally grant the target's proficiency bonus to their Attack rolls.
Level 3

- Challenge the enemies around you, compelling them to attack only you. Any attacks they might make against other targets have Disadvantage.

- Shout out and heal all nearby non-enemy creatures.

- You gain additional spells from your oath. They are Always Prepared.
Level 5

Level 7
- Divine Allegiance
- When an ally within 1.5 m / 5 ft of you takes damage, you can use your Reaction to magically substitute your own health for your ally's, taking the damage instead of them.
Level 9

Generally - evading being arrested once caught or refusing to be interrogated
Act 1:[edit | edit source]
- Betray the Myconid Sovereign - Avenge Glut's Circle
- Letting Sazza get killed while imprisoned (in dialog) OR helping her escape - Save the Goblin Sazza
- Players betrays tieflings during attack on Den and side with Minthara
- Players betrays Minthara during attack on Den after promising to help her
- Letting Auntie Ethel go free (Hag Hair)
- Steal the Githyanki egg instead of persuading its caretaker - Steal a Githyanki egg
Act 2:[edit | edit source]
- Betraying Last Light by greeing to help Zrell kidnap Isobel
- If the mission to kill Ketheric was given before kidnapping Isobel, then kidnapping her, it will break the paladins' oath.
- Siding with Marcus
- Betraying Ketheric - agreed to help bringing Nightsong but not doing so - by Killing Nightsong, Freeing Nightsong, Betraying Balthazar
Act 3:[edit | edit source]
- Siding with Gortash, then betraying him when speaking with Orin.
- Siding with Orin, then betraying her when speaking with Gortash.
- Promising to Jaheira they will help find Minsc, and then killing him
