Lich

A lich is a powerful undead, usually a magical user who has studied, learned and applied to themselves the secrets of immortality.

Sometimes, the word "lich" was used as a curse word in the Forgotten Realms.

Liches mentioned in Baldur's Gate 3 include:

Blue Apex, an illithid
Szass Tam, a zulkir
Vecna, human ascended to Godhood
Vlaakith, ruler of the Githyanki worshiped as their Goddess
An unknown lich slain by Wyll
