Tiefling refugees

From bg3.wiki

The tiefling refugees are a group of tieflings trying to reach Baldur's Gate after being exiled from Elturel.

Blood has followed us since Elturel. I just want to leave this place and never look back.
Locke

Background edit

Shortly before the events of Baldur's Gate 3, the city of Elturel was temporarily dragged into Avernus as part of a demonic plot. Afterwards, Elturel's Tiefling population was falsely blamed for the incident. The increased prejudice forced most of them to leave the city.

Act One edit

The refugees are camped out in the Emerald Grove, but tensions are rising between them and the Druids. Without intervention, they'll soon be forced back on the road by the Rite of Thorns.

Nymessa Nymessa and Damays Damays, found in the northeast of the Wilderness X: 237 Y: 371, can be Persuaded by a non-Drow, Duergar or Githyanki player to give directions to their camp.

Act Two edit

If the Rite of Thorns was stopped, and the tieflings successfully departed the wilderness, the road will lead them through the Shadow-Cursed Lands. A dangerous and cursed environment, many refugees die before making it to safety. While some are captured and brought to Moonrise Towers, the remaining free survivors of the group find shelter at Last Light Inn.

Our group grows smaller and smaller. We've lost many, but we have you to thank for the ones who survived.

If the Last Light Inn's protection holds, the tieflings manage to exit the Shadow-Cursed Lands after the Absolutist army has moved on from the road to Baldur's Gate. Once they reach the city, they find they are just one group among many who are fleeing from the war.

The surviving tiefling refugees can be found throughout the city, trying to make a life for themselves, or otherwise camped together in the refugee camp in Rivington.
