Legendary actions

This page is about content that is exclusive to Honour mode.

Legendary actions are a type of resource available to some characters while in Honour mode. A character with a legendary action will have an associated passive and condition - while the condition is active, the character can use their legendary action. Once per round, a character may use their legendary action, often as a reaction to being dealt damage. Legendary actions restore at the beginning of a new round.

While in Tactician, dragons will also have legendary actions available.

Act One

Auntie Ethel	Legendary Action: Weird Magic Surge Once per round, Auntie Ethel can spend a Legendary Action to summon more illusory duplicates and shuffle herself among them after a spell is cast.
Bernard	Legendary Action: Leaping Static Once per round, Bernard can spend a Legendary Action to immediately launch  Leaping Static at a foe after being attacked.
Bulette	Legendary Action: Shredding Scales Once per turn, the Bulette can spend a Legendary Action to use  Shredding Scales after being hit if its  Diamond Scales are active.
Dror Ragzlin	Arachnid Compulsion Take control of nearby spiders with a borrowed piece of drow magic.
	Legendary Action: Devoted Galvanism Once per round when an enemy targets their ally with an ability, Dror Ragzlin can use a Legendary Action to  Galvanise Absolutists within 5 m / 17 ft, granting them  Action Surge.
Grym	Legendary Action: Adamantine Reverberation Once per round, Grym can use its Legendary Action to  Reverberate when it is struck, doubling its movement and granting it 10 temporary hit points.
Nere	Legendary Action: Psionic Visage Once per round, Nere can use his Legendary Action to cast  Psionic Visage on himself when attacked.
Owlbear	Legendary Action: Call Consort Once per combat, the Owlbear mother can spend a Legendary Action to  summon her mate when she is attacked.
Error creating thumbnail: File missing Phase Spider Matriarch	Legendary Action: Gossamer Tomb Once per round if her offspring is attacked, the Phase Spider Matriarch can spend a Legendary Action to use  Gossamer Tomb.
Spectator	Legendary Action: Ocular Nightmare After accumulating five  Paranoid Dreams, the Spectator will spend a Legendary Action to cast  Ocular Nightmare.
Inquisitor W'wargaz	Legendary Action: Mind-Claw of Tu'narath Twice per round, Inquisitor W'wargaz can spend a Legendary Action to summon a Mind-Claw of Tu'narath after he or his allies are struck.

Apostle of Myrkul	Legendary Action: Gaze of the Dead Once per round, Myrkul's Apostle can spend a Legendary Action to cast  Gaze of the Dead on a creature when attacked.
Balthazar	Legendary Action: The Dead Wastes Once per round when a creature dies, Balthazar can use his Legendary Action to create a necrotic miasma where it fell that heals Undead 4d6hit points and deals 4d6Necrotic to living creatures at the start of their turns.
	Legendary Action: Spectral Aspect Once per round, Balthazar can use his Legendary Action to adopt a  Spectral Aspect after being struck.
Gerringothe Thorm	Legendary Action: Sublimation Once per round, if she loses a piece of armour, Gerringothe Thorm can spend a Legendary Action to try and turn her enemies into gold, incapacitating them for 4 turns.
Kar'niss	Legendary Action: Fanatic Retaliation Once per round when a  Spindleweb Fanatic is killed, Kar'niss can use a Legendary Action to possibly deal 6d10Psychic and  Silence the attacker.
Ketheric Thorm	Legendary Action: Hordestrike Once per round, Ketheric can spend a Legendary Action to  Hordestrike an enemy when it is attacked by one of his minions following  Deadly Orders.
Malus Thorm	Legendary Action: Wail of Loss Once per round, Malus Thorm can use his Legendary Action after being attacked to make every assistant cast  Wail of Loss simultaneously.
	Legendary Action: Grasping Appendage Once per round, Malus Thorm can use his Legendary Action to  Grasp a creature and pull it closer.
Oliver	Legendary Action: Vengeful Playmate Once per round, Oliver can spend a Legendary Action to summon  The Wasting Quiet in an area after a summoned shadow is slain.
Shadow-Cursed Shambling Mound	Legendary Action: Wretched Growth If a creature ends its turn within 5 m / 17 ft of the Shambling Mound, it will take 3d10Necrotic and Shadow-Cursed Vines will grow at its feet, possibly  Entangling it.
Thisobald Thorm	Legendary Action: Overflowing Brew Once per round, Thisobald Thorm can use his Legendary Action when his brew is changed by a foe's attack to make it overflow, dealing 3d6 of the corresponding damage type.
Ch'r'ai Tska'an	Legendary Action: Soul Sacrifice Once per round when a humanoid dies, the Ch'r'ai can spend a legendary action to  Sacrifice its soul to Vlaakith in return for great power. Once 3 souls have been sacrificed, the Ch'r'ai takes on  Vlaakith's Undying Aspect.
Yurgir	Legendary Action: Blinding Ambush Once per round, Yurgir can spend a Legendary Action to  Blinding Ambush a  Hunted creature when it attempts to attack or cast a spell.

Act Three

Boon of Bhaal	Legendary Action: Bhaal's Edict If Orin has not used her Legendary Action by the end of a round, and Orin is not duelling her opponent alone, the Dread Lord places a creature under  Bhaal's Edict.
Cazador Szarr	Legendary Action: Vampiric Swarm Once per round, Cazador can spend a Legendary Action to conjure a  Vampiric Swarm.
Crown of Karsus	Karsite Grip Crush a creature's being with pure Netherese energy that can fork across to three other targets within 8 m / 27 ft.
Enver Gortash	Legendary Action: Tyrannical Branding Once per round, Gortash can use his Legendary Action to immediately  Brand his attacker after being struck.
Ch'r'ai Har'rak	Legendary Action: Tu'narath's Embrace Once per round, Ch'r'ai Har'rak can spend a Legendary Action to cast  Tu'narath's Embrace on an ally to prevent an Incapacitating Condition.
Mystic Carrion	Legendary Action: Torrential Undeath Once per turn, Mystic Carrion can use his Legendary Action to release  Torrential Undeath at his foes when hit.
Orin	Legendary Action: Sanguine Lash Once per round, Orin can use her Legendary Action to  Sanguine Lash after being attacked.
Ptaris	Legendary Action: Ptarian Dogma Once per round, after being hit, Ptaris can spend a Legendary Action to surround his attacker in  Ptarian Pacifism.
Raphael	Legendary Action: Beguiling Rebuke Raphael can spend a Legendary Action to immediately  Beguile a hostile creature and its allies after being attacked.
	Legendary Action: Soul Ascension Raphael can spend a Legendary Action to immediately cast  Soul Ascension when he or his allies are attacked.
Sarevok Anchev	Legendary Action: Murderous Retort Once per round, Orin or Sarevok can use their Legendary Action to immediately strike back at their attacker.
Viconia DeVir	Legendary Action: Sanctuary of Loss Once per round, Viconia can use a Legendary Action to cast  Sanctuary of Loss when an ally is struck.
	Legendary Action: Heartwrench Once per round, Viconia can use a Legendary Action to  Heartwrench a  Heartform Mapped creature after it strikes her or her allies.

Dragons

While all other legendary actions are exclusive to Honour mode, dragons will have legendary actions available while in Tactician. As a legendary action, dragons can react to being attacked with their breath weapon:
