• This creature is dead.

Notes

• This condition can be removed with  Revivify, Scroll of Revivify, Scroll of True Resurrection or through Withers' services.
  • Dead non-playable characters cannot be revived after dying.
  • Companions, some potential companions and playable characters can be revived. However, there are caveats. Some of these include:
    • Many, if not all, companions and potential companions cannot be revived if they have not been recruited first. For example, if Astarion is killed by the Nautiloid crash site before being added to the party, he cannot be revived. Also, if Minthara is killed while being escorted out of Moonrise Towers before being admitted to the party campsite, she cannot be revived.
    • Should Alfira somehow be recruited, she cannot be revived.

Sources of Dead

• If a playable character or companion fails three Death Saving Throws after being  Downed they will become dead.
• If a non-playable creature reaches zero hit points they will become dead.
