Tides of Chaos (passive feature)

Tides of Chaos is a toggleable passive feature which grants Advantage on the user's next Ability Check and increases their chance of a Wild Magic surge afterwards to 50% (normally 5%).

Description

Activate to gain Advantage Icon.png Advantage on your next Attack roll, Ability check, or Saving throw.

  • Wild Magic Sorcerers receive 1 Tides of Chaos Charge which is replenished on every Short Rest or Long Rest.
  • Normally, a D20.png d20 is rolled each time a levelled spell is cast. If the result is 20, a Surge is triggered. Tides of Chaos reduces the Difficulty Class (DC) to 11 (i.e. a 50% chance).
