About githyanki

Default Githyanki appearances

Githyanki are peerless warriors from the Astral Plane, known for their legendary silver blades and red dragon mounts. They seek the total destruction of Mind Flayers, whose ancient empire enslaved the ancestral Gith for millennia.

As the effects of time is diminished in their native Astral Plane, githyanki are instead hatched from eggs all across realmspace in places called crèches. Crèches act as hatcheries, training grounds, and shelters outside of the Astral Plane.

Githyanki are ruled by their lich queen Vlaakith and led in battle by her dragon-riding knights, the Kith'raki.

Githyanki Psionics

You gain access to the following Spells:

• Cantrip:  Mage Hand (Character level 1). Your Mage Hand is invisible when cast via Githyanki Psionics.   Recharge: Long rest
• 1st Level Spell:  Enhance Leap (Character level 3) Recharge: Long rest
• 2nd Level Spell:  Misty Step (Character level 5) Recharge: Long rest

 Martial Prodigy

A lifetime of relentless training gave you Armour proficiency with  Light armour and  Medium armour, as well as Proficiency with  Shortswords,  Longswords, and  Greatswords.

Exclusive equipment

Certain items have unique bonuses when wielded or worn by a Githyanki. These bonuses can be enabled by being  disguised as one before equipping the item.

• Aberration Hunters' Amulet: Advantage on Intelligence Saving throws and Aberrations have Disadvantage on Attack rolls against the wearer.
• Boots of Psionic Movement: After the wearer used  Fly, their next melee weapon attack deals an additional 1d4Psychic damage.
• Circlet of Psionic Revenge: Grants +1 to Intelligence, Wisdom and Charisma Saving throws.
• Githyanki Greatsword (Psionic): Attacks with this weapon deal an additional 1d4Psychic damage.
• Psionic Ward Armour: Grants Resistance to Psychic damage.
• Soulbreaker Greatsword: Attacks with this weapon deal an additional 1d4Psychic damage.
• Silver Sword of the Astral Plane: Attacks with this weapon deal an additional 1d6Psychic damage. The holder also has Advantage on Intelligence, Wisdom and Charisma Saving throws, Resistance to Psychic damage, and cannot be  Charmed.
