Echo of Illasera

Echo of Illasera is a ghost of an elven Bhaalspawn. She was one of the members of the Five during the Bhaalspawn crisis and was the first of them to have been defeated by Gorion's Ward.

Overview

Backstory

In life, Illasera was once a Bhaalspawn and a member of the Five which was an alliance between five powerful Bhaalspawns formed by Amelyssan, Bhaal's high priestess, that sought to slaughter their siblings in exchange for power. Illasera was tasked to kill the famous Bhaalspawn known as Gorion's Ward and ambushed them and their party at the Grove of the Ancients. The two fought, but Gorion's Ward ultimately defeated Illasera, making her the first of the Five to have been slain.

Bhaal was resurrected a century after Illasera's death. After this Sarevok Anchev was able to bring her back as an Echo to serve in the Murder Tribunal along with Abazigal, Sendai and Amelyssan.

Involvement

Illasera is first encountered in the Murder Tribunal, where she accompanies Sarevok. If the party refuse to become an Unholy Assassin or performs any hostile actions she becomes hostile. If the party instead completes Impress the Murder Tribunal and becomes an Unholy Assassin of Bhaal, she can be questioned to learn more about her history.

Echo of Illasera can cast spells using up to Level 6 Spell Slots.

 Haste ( + )

Target yourself or an ally to become  Hastened. The creature has a +2 bonus to  Armour Class, Advantage on Dexterity Saving throws, its Movement Speed is doubled, and can take one additional Action per turn.

 Range: 9 m / 30 ft

 Counterspell ( + )

Try to stop a spell being cast.

If it is higher level than the spell slot you used to Counterspell, you must make a check using your spellcasting ability^{[See Notes]} to prevent it. The check's difficulty is equal to 10 plus the level of the spell you are trying to counter.

This spell can be cast while you are  Silenced.

Fly to a target position

 Range: 18 m / 60 ft

After Sarevok dies and  Retributive Justice is gained:

 Guiding Bolt ( + )

Damage: 4~24

The next attack roll against this target has Advantage.

 Spirit Guardians ( + )

Call forth spirits to protect you.

Nearby enemies take 3d8Radiant or 3d8Necrotic damage per turn, and their Movement Speed is halved.
