• This creature is dead.

Notes

• This condition can be removed with  Revivify, Scroll of Revivify, Scroll of True Resurrection or through Withers' services.
  • Dead non-playable characters cannot be revived after dying.
  • Companions, some potential companions and playable characters can be revived. However, most (perhaps all) companions and potential companions cannot be revived if they have not been recruited first. For example:
    • If Astarion is killed by the Nautiloid crash site before being added to the party, he cannot be revived.
    • If Minthara is killed while being escorted out of Moonrise Towers before being admitted to the party campsite, she cannot be revived.
    • If Halsin dies while attempting to rescue Thaniel from the Shadow Curse, he cannot be revived.
  • Alfira is an exception to the above. Should she somehow be recruited and perish at any point later, she cannot be revived.

Sources of Dead

• If a playable character or companion fails three Death Saving Throws after being  Downed they will become dead.
• If a non-playable creature reaches zero hit points they will become dead.
