Drow are a playable race in Baldur's Gate 3. They are the dark elves of the Forgotten Realms, dwelling in the Underdark, large subterranean caverns beneath the surface.
“Driven to the Underdark, most drow have adopted a ruthless pragmatism. While the Lolth-sworn delight in the goddess' evil tenets, the Seldarine reject Her attempt to overthrow the leader of the elven pantheon.„

Lolth-sworn drow edit
“Raised by Lolth's cult in the city of Menzoberranzan, these drow embody the virtues of their corrupt and merciless goddess. Lolth marks Her followers with bright red eyes so those in the Underdark will learn to fear them on sight.„
Subrace features edit
- Lolth-sworn Drow do not gain any additional racial features but do gain access to certain locked dialogue choices.
- By default, Lolth-sworn Drow have red eyes.
- The dialogue options for Lolth-sworn drow are considerably evil, for example, threatening the pickpocket kids at the Druid Grove of enslavement in the Underdark, or encouraging Kagha to kill the Tiefling child.
Seldarine drow edit
“Seldarine drow can be found seeking allies from all over Faerûn, aiming to settle their conflict with Lolth - and each other - by any means necessary.„
Subrace features edit
- Seldarine Drow do not gain any additional racial features but do gain access to certain locked dialogue choices.
- By default, Seldarine Drow do not have red eyes.

The cult of Lolth edit
The much-reviled matriarch of the drow pantheon, Lolth holds sway over spiders, the Underdark, and the wicked creatures of the Demonweb Pits. Her primary goal is to corrupt all drow, transforming them into heartless cultists.
The clergy of Eilistraee edit
Eilistraee is the goddess of good-aligned drow, beauty, song, and freedom. The Dark Maiden desires balance between all races, and struggles against her mother Lolth's corrupt aims.
Exclusive equipment edit
Certain items have unique bonuses when wielded or worn by a Drow. These bonuses can be enabled by being 
as one before equipping the item.
Cruel Sting: Sting The Helpless - a drow elf wielding this weapon deals an additional 1d4
damage against 
targets.

Notes edit
Although the Seldarine and Lolth-sworn subraces can broadly be generalised as good & evil drow respectively, there are notable exceptions found throughout the game:
- Jhaam, a dead female scout of the Harpers found in a cage at the Grymforge docks, was of the Lolth-sworn subrace.
- Various drow of both Lolth-sworn and Seldarine descent can be found among the Absolutists at Moonrise Towers.
