Bane (spell)

Bane is a level 1 enchantment spell. This spell allows the caster to temporarily curse enemies, making their attacks miss more often and weakening their Saving Throws.

Description

Up to 3 creatures receive a -1d4 penalty to Attack rolls and Saving throws.

At higher levels

Upcast: Affects an additional target for each Spell Slot Level above 1st.

Condition: Bane

Charisma saving throw

• Has a -1d4 penalty to Attack rolls and Saving throws.

How to learn

Classes:

• Class Level 1: Bard, and Cleric

• Class Level 3: Oath of Vengeance

Notes

• Also granted to  Warlocks who choose the Eldritch Invocation Thief of Five Fates at level 2+. When gained in this way, the spell can be cast once per Long Rest and doesn't expend Spell Slots.
