- This is the only action in the game able to destroy the Infernal Crystals keeping Hope imprisoned.
- The icon for this action is reminiscent of the Dispel Magic icons in Baldur's Gate 1 and 2, and it is in fact labelled 'Spell_Abjuration_DispelMagic' within the game files. According to Swen Vincke, Dispel Magic was cut content for Baldur's Gate 3.[1]
- Unshackling Strike does not free Orpheus, instead, the Infernal Crystals (not the Minor Orb of Domination) need to be struck with a regular attack while wielding the Orphic Hammer.
