Act Three

Thatmatt is at the barracks with his wife Bruha Oakhide, looking to report an incident where he was struck on the head and mugged. Unfortunately for him, the Flaming Fist are making him wait to be heard.

Idle banter

Thatmatt will chat occasionally with his wife Bruha Oakhide:

• Bruha Oakhide: Ravengard's back, I heard. Bet he'll twist some arms, clean up the riffraff.
  • Thatmatt Oakhide: Duke-types don't care what goes on in our streets.
    • Bruha Oakhide: Ravengard's no upper-crust softie. He's in charge of the Fist, right?
      • Thatmatt Oakhide: If Ravengard had trained the Fist proper, they'd be out catching crooks, not turning a blind eye.

• Bruha Oakhide: There's more Flaming Fist on the streets than ever - maybe they'll whip the place into shape.
  • Thatmatt Oakhide: Nah. They're too busy 'visiting' Mamzell's guys and gals.
    • Bruha Oakhide: They do that quite a bit, don't they? It's a shame.
      • Thatmatt Oakhide: A damn shame.

• Bruha Oakhide: How's your head? That last mugger left a hell of a mark.
  • Thatmatt Oakhide: Still attached.
    • Bruha Oakhide: Har-har. We can come back another time, if you ain't feeling up to it?
      • Thatmatt Oakhide: Nah, let's see what Portyr has to say - she claimed she'd look into it.

Thatmatt will also occasionally go to Manip Seyama to check on his status:

• Thatmatt Oakhide: Oi - I've been mugged. I'm here about my case?
  • Manip Seyama: We're dealing with an increased number of complaints, sir - please wait your turn.
    • Thatmatt Oakhide: Right. I'll be outside.

• Thatmatt Oakhide: Portyr herself said she was investigating my case?
  • Manip Seyama: Blaze Portyr will get to you when she gets to you.
    • Thatmatt Oakhide: I'm sure.

• Thatmatt Oakhide: My wife and I have been waiting half the day - are you lot gonna help us or not?
  • Manip Seyama: Take that tone with me again, and you'll see no one. You'll be called when you're called.
