Bug can cause this book to not appear edit

Like some other players, I found that the Teachings of Loss: The Night Singer book was not to be found anywhere in the Silent Library, making the door to the Spear of Night un-openable.

It appears this bug can arise due to factors that can obtain during the combat preceding searching the library, in some instances.

I was able to get past the locked door by stacking enough boxes to jump over the top of it.
