Must complete companion quest

Yes, her quest must be done to be able to get the final romance scene, As well as in act 1 if you wish to make her a non sharran in that run and get the non sharran shadowheart romance scene, you must know she likes night orchids and can't swim. (find out she worships Shar first before asking to get to know her more, because she wont tell you if you ask her before she confesses shes a follower of Shar.) If you wish for her to be a Sharran the information about her inability to swim and her love for night orchids is optional. (not really, learn that stuff about her. Romance section deletion

It would've been helpful to explain exactly what was 'apparently misleading' before deleting this entire section.

I read and participated in some of what I believe was the seeds the original posting behind this assertion months ago, which I thought made sense - in principle.

The problem with that discussion, and its assertions, is that it contains so many nuances and particularities that are not easily reduced to a good summary - at least ones that would make sense to most readers. While it's possible the author of that discussion could have made explaining aspects of romance in question more accurate (and have not yet done so), I think it's quite a strecth to say what is in the deleted notes is 'misleading'. Not having any information at all available to the reader about how these aspects of romace work is, in my opinion, the worst of all choices. Adding or tweaking relevant adjustments, caveats and/or additional notes would have been better.

Again, making these notes more accurate (at least based on the author's observation thus far) is a difficult task, which likely explains why no modifications have been made.

Hopefully, we will see material that is substantially more informative to replace what was deleted soon. Raelin (talk) 05:46, 18 September 2025 (CEST)

Hi Raelin. You're right, I should have posted on the talk page what the reported issues are. Let me do so now; copying from discord:

This section is not correct because dating *anybody* will block the "truly connect" dialogue option for Shadowheart to start her romance before the party, not just Lae'zel. And starting a fling with Lae'zel before the party does not block the player from romancing Shart at the party.

And:

Yeah the long note is also only partly true.

Starting three romances isn't unique to Shadowheart; you can do it with a few companions by skirting some mis-flags or gaps in camp night definitions.

So that note really doesn't belong on Shadowheart's romance page either.
