Act Three

Sula Ghevora is standing in line behind Saer Fleiner, near the entrance to the Upper City. She and her partner hope that they can afford food and shelter once inside the Upper City.

• Tuloria: What are you going to miss the most?
  • Sula Ghevora: About what?
    • Tuloria: About not living in the Upper City after we get in.
      • Sula Ghevora: Being able to afford things, probably.
        • Sula Ghevora: You do realise what we're signing up for here, don't you?

• Tuloria: I'm sure we'll be able to afford things. At least the things we need.
  • Sula Ghevora: Honey, we might not be able to afford a room, let alone anything else.
    • Tuloria: They won't exactly let us starve to death!
      • Sula Ghevora: You sure about that? Look what they're making us do now.
