Dashkent is the halfling wearing a red shirt who patrols the bottom floor of Fraygo's Flophouse. The party can question Dashkent about the disappearance of Ffion Goldgrind and, if her corpse was discovered, notify him of her murder.

If the player character gathered the clue about a "dwarf wearing red" in Investigate the Murders or Solve the Open Hand Temple Murders, the player character can accuse Dashkent of resembling the murder suspect. He becomes indignant and stresses that he is a halfling, not a dwarf. Halfling characters receive a unique response if failing to recognize him as their kin.
