Improved Bardic Inspiration

Improved Bardic Inspiration is a Class Feature of Bards gained at level 5 and level 10. This ability modifies Bardic Inspiration to higher die and changes its charges to be recharged on a short rest instead of a long rest. The College of Valour counterpart is Improved Combat Inspiration.

Bonus action + Bardic Inspiration Charge

• Bard Level 5:
  • Gain: +1d8 bonus to the next Attack Roll, Ability Check, or Saving Throw
• Bard Level 10:
  • Gain: +1d10 bonus to the next Attack Roll, Ability Check, or Saving Throw
•  Range: 18 m / 60 ft
• Duration: Until Long rest
• Recharge: Short rest
• Once Bardic Inspiration has been granted, the target receives one of the following effects, whichever they use first:
  • Bardic Roll (Toggleable Passive Feature): +1d6 bonus to the next Ability Check
  • Bardic Defence (Reaction): +1d6 bonus to the next Saving Throw
  • Bardic Attack (Reaction): +1d6 bonus to the next Attack Roll
