score to 17. The enchantment has no effect if their Intelligence score is higher without it.

Notes
- This item originally provided the same effect as a regular Headband of Intellect, setting Intelligence to 19; it was decreased to 17 to reduce its power.
- This item is not worn by Lump, he carries it in his gut, which (although not stated in game) both explains and gives better context to its in-game description.
- Most effective on characters who need Intelligence as a secondary ability score and also have several other needed ability scores, such as Eldritch Knight Fighters and Arcane Trickster Rogues.
- If Wizards use this item to to prepare more spells than they are normally able to, those spells stay prepared even after taking it off.
- If convinced to fight for the party, Lump can be called and looted later within Act One.
