Reithwin Necrology shows that there was a large combat involving Dark Justiciars in Reithwin in 986 DR, 506 years before the events of the game in 1492. But the shadow curse has only been around for a hundred years or so. That seems to indicate either:

1. The shadow curse has actually been around for half a millennium
2. The Harpers-druid alliance war lasted hundreds of years
3. There were multiple wars, or, most likely IMO:
4. that 986 date is off by a lot

Do we ignore all sources outside of BG3?

I've been reading some Forgotten Realms sourcebooks/modules that could further flesh out the timeline related to the life of Balduran etc. I'd like to include these other sources, but I want to check if that would be breaking any rules of this wiki.

DnD source books such as Grand History of the Realms, Murder in Baldur's Gate, The Horde, Descent Into Avernus, The Code of the Harpers etc. would provide much greater clarity when combined with dialog from Baldur's Gate: Tales of the Sword Coast and BG3's own in-game texts.

I'm uncertain about the current BG3wiki standard on this topic: are we supposed to incorporate other DnD sources or stick purely to what's presented in BG3?
