Slinging Shoes

Slinging Shoes is a pair of Boots that deal psychic damage and return to the wearer when thrown.

These shoes were formerly enchanted to return to their owner's feet. This caused a great deal of trouble for owners, who, while wearing a slipper or a nice heeled number, kept being kicked in the ankles by jealous footwear.

Notes

• Tara only accepts fish and / or magical items in exchange for these shoes. This is Tara's second vendor location and second item sold. Tara only appears at this location if doing the following:
  1. Speaking to her on the roof of the Open Hand Temple with Gale in the party during the Find the Missing Letters quest
  2. Visiting her on the roof of the Devil's Fee X: -29 Y: 6 after purchasing the Hat of the Sharp Caster from her
  3. Taking a Long Rest after purchasing her first item
• As the Slinging Shoes weigh little, they only deal a base of 1Bludgeoning damage when thrown (before applying any modifiers and the 2d4Psychic damage from Shoe Slinger).
• Much like other Homing Weapons, the Slinging Shoes automatically equip themselves onto the thrower when they return. If the thrower has other footwear equipped when throwing the Slinging Shoes, it is unequipped in favour of them.
