Ride the Winds is a level 3 transmutation spell. It can be cast when wearing the Amulet of Windrider and transforms the wearer into a small cloud of mist. It is equivalent to Gaseous Form Gaseous Form except it can only affect the caster.

Description

Transform into a cloud, becoming Resistant to all damage, gains Advantage on Constitution, Dexterity, and Strength Saving Throws, and becomes Tiny in size.

While transformed, the target won't be able to attack, cast spells, or talk.

  • The description "fits through small openings" includes travelling to different regions by going through small openings (pipes, animal burrows, cat holes, etc.), but also includes moving through 'walls' with openings in them like prison bars and gates.
  • As a cloud of mist, the ability to fly is also gained.
  • Contrary to the tooltip, unarmed attacks can be made without losing the form. This deals only the base unarmed damage and may go undetected depending on a Stealth check.
