Notes

  • As of Patch 5, this ability consumes gold the target carries in increments of 300 as it is converted to proficiency bonusPiercingPiercing damage, so a target with 99,999 gold hit by a level 9 character will have around 99 gold left in their inventory after being dealt approximately [99,900/4]=1330 damage from a hit (before any applicable reductions).
  • Many bosses and tough enemies in the game can be assassinated with this action by "reverse-pickpocketing" large sums of gold into their inventory. However, the damage is dealt in separate instances, so enemies with flat damage reduction - such as from armour with the Magical Plate property - are less susceptible.
