Arcane Echomalefaction is a passive feature which applies reverberation on enemies after applying a condition.

Description

When the wearer inflicts a condition upon a hostile creature, they also inflict 2 turns of Reverberation Reverberation.[See: Bugs]

Condition: Reverberation

Reverberation Reverberation

Duration: 2 turns

  • When the entity has 5 or more turns of Reverberation, it takes 1d4Damage TypesThunder damage and must succeed a DC 10  Constitution saving throw or fall Prone Prone. The condition is removed afterward.

How to learn

Granted by the equipment:

Notes

  • Arcane Echomalefaction is limited once per attack, and only affects a single target each time it is triggered.
    • If a condition is applied to multiple targets at a time, it triggers on the one that received the condition first.
  • Knocking an enemy Prone Prone, either by spells like Ice Knife Ice Knife or by them walking on Ice Ice created by the boot's wearer, does not trigger Arcane Echomalefaction.

Bugs

  • Due to a hidden condition which gets applied when a ranged weapon attack misses, this passive effect applies even though it appears it should not.
