Bardic Inspiration is a Class Feature of Bards. This ability allows a Bard to inspire their allies and influence the outcome of their rolls.

Description

Inspire an ally to go beyond their capabilities with your performance. They can add a +1d6 bonus to their next Attack Roll, Ability Check, or Saving Throw.

Properties

Bonus action + Bardic Inspiration Charge

  • Gain: +1d6 bonus to the next Attack Roll, Ability Check, or Saving Throw
  • Range: 18m / 60ft
  • Duration: Until Long Rest
  • Once Bardic Inspiration has been granted, the target receives one of the following effects, whichever they use first:
    • Bardic Roll (Toggleable Passive Feature): +1d6 bonus to the next Ability Check
    • Bardic Defence (Reaction): +1d6 bonus to the next Saving Throw
    • Bardic Attack (Reaction): +1d6 bonus to the next Attack Roll

At Higher Levels

  • At Bard Level 5, the Bardic Inspiration bonus increases to +1d8
  • At Bard Level 10, the Bardic Inspiration bonus increases to +1d10 (presumed; not yet available)
