Battle Masters are paragons of tactical superiority, combining combat manoeuvres and experience in the field to dominate every fight.

Battle Master is one of the Subclasses of Fighter. They focus on using active skills on a limited resource to hinder and disable opponents as well as sometimes supporting allies.

Subclass Features

Level 3

• Superiority Dice: 4 Your Superiority Dice are d8s. You have 4. They fuel your Battle Master manoeuvers and are expended upon use. You regain expended Superiority Dice after a Short or Long Rest.

• Battle Manoeuvers (Choose 3): Manoeuvers are powerful attacks that use superiority dice:
  • Remember that BG3 does not use American English - it is spelled "Manoeuver".

Manoeuvers	Description	Grants
Commander's Strike	Expend one attack from your attack action and a bonus action to direct an ally to strike a foe. The ally uses their reaction to make a weapon attack on their turn.	Commander's Strike
Disarming Attack	Spend a superiority die to make an attack that deals an additional 1d8 damage and possibly forces the target to drop the weapons they are holding.	Disarming Attack (Melee) Disarming Attack (Ranged)

Evasive Footwork	You can evade attacks by imposing Disadvantage on melee attacks against you for a round.	Evasive Footwork
Feinting Attack	Use both your action and bonus action on a turn to attack a target with Advantage and deal an addition 1d8 damage.	Feinting Attack
Goading Attack	Deal an additional 1d8 and attempt to goad the target attacking you. Target receives Disadvantage on attacking any other creature.	Goading Attack (Melee) Goading Attack (Ranged)
Manoeuvring Attack	Spend a superiority die to make an attack that deals an additional 1d8 damage. On a hit, select which friendly creature will gain half its movement speed. Menacing Attack	Spend a superiority die to make an attack that deals an additional 1d8 damage and possibly Frightens the target.	Menacing Attack (Melee) Menacing Attack (Ranged)
Precision Attack	Your can spend a Superiority Die to add it to a result to an Attack Roll.	Precision Attack
Pushing Attack	Spend a superiority die to make an attack that deals an additional 1d8 damage and possibly pushes the target back 4.5m.	Pushing Attack (Melee) Pushing Attack (Ranged)
Rally	Expend a superiority die to grant an ally 8 temporary hit points, bolstering their resolve.	Rally
Riposte	When a hostile creature misses you with a melee attack, expend a superiority die to retaliate with a powerful attack that deals an additional 1d8 damage.	Riposte
Sweeping Attack	Swing your weapon in a rapid, sweeping arc to attack multiple enemies at once. Roll you superiority die for damage.	File:Action SweepingAttack.png Sweeping Attack
Trip Attack	Spend a superiority die to make an attack that deals an additional 1d8 damage and possibly knocks the target Prone. The target must be Large or smaller.	Trip Attack (Melee) Trip Attack (Ranged)

Level 7

• Choose 2 additional Manoeuvers.
• Gain +1 Superiority Dice

Level 10

• Choose 2 additional Manoeuvers.
• Gain Improved Superiority Dice. The size of your Superiority Dice increases to 1d10.
